Seal count 6th December 2018
Still in the peak weeks high numbers of births continue to be recorded. It was a fine morning for the count this week. There was a noticeable shift of seals and pups rom north to south caused by high tides
The big rise in numbers continues, and this week counters recorded 1,608 adult seals on the beach, and 1,406 pups. This raises the total of births so far this season to 1,440, which is slightly fewer than the total born at this time last year.
